5120 scaling without pretending the MAP sensor calibrates itself.

The TunedByAB $88 package combines the complete current five-map architecture with a guarded 5120 core for exact 06A906032HS 0008 software. The patcher checks the expected source state first, refuses partial or unknown 5120 states, applies the verified fixed and tune-sensitive transforms, then audits the result.

What does 5120 change?

ME7.5 5120 work changes internal pressure-related representation so the ECU can operate beyond the original pressure range that becomes limiting on higher-boost combinations. The exact 032HS implementation includes guarded fixed-core changes plus tune-sensitive transforms that cover known pressure and controller paths such as KFLDIMX, UMDYLDR, DPLPLGD/EDLDRP, DPDSVLU, LDRQ0S and LDRQ1ST.

The automatic patcher transforms the current input values rather than blindly copying those tune-sensitive calibration blocks from a donor file. It also checks that values can be transformed exactly and rejects states that would overflow or fail the verified source assumptions.

Why is this called “guarded”?

Before writing the 5120 core, the service verifies the expected 032HS identity and the required source values. A file that already appears 5120-patched, is only partially converted, or differs in a protected source location is refused for automatic processing instead of being overwritten.

After the transformation, the output is audited so changed bytes are restricted to the authorized five-map and verified 5120 regions. Customers see the result of those checks in the automatic patch report, but proprietary addresses and signatures are not published.

The MAP sensor still matters

5120 scaling is not the same thing as configuring the physical pressure sensor. DSLGRAD and DSLOFS are sensor-specific, so TunedByAB deliberately leaves them unchanged. Before flashing, the tuner must set those calibrations for the actual MAP sensor installed on the car. A wrong sensor calibration can make pressure reporting and control incorrect even when the 5120 core itself is correct.

Why a separate 5120-aware XDF?

The $88 order includes a dedicated 5120-aware TunerPro XDF. Definitions affected by the verified half/double representation changes are displayed with the appropriate 5120-aware conversion, while the normal $59 package receives the non-5120 definition. This prevents a customer from using the same display scaling for two different internal representations.

Important: the XDF does not install the 5120 firmware patch by itself. It is a definition file for editing the matching prepared BIN. The BIN remains PRECHECKSUM and still requires independent checksum and vehicle/bench validation.
